Venezuelan group before Parlatino proposes to expand social agenda

The Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament discussed topics of interest in which the incorporation of new Observer members of the regional body stood out in order to strengthen alliances between parliaments.

In his speech, Deputy Ángel Rodríguez, president of the Venezuelan Group, highlighted the importance of “Expanding the Social Agenda”, according to the twitter account of the Venezuelan representation in Parlatino.

“The proposal of the Venezuelan Group before Parlatino is to expand the Social Agenda for 2023,” says the tweet.

Likewise, he proposed the incorporation of other instances to the Latin American organization, considering that the integration of the peoples is a fundamental pillar in the construction and consolidation of the objectives of Parlatino.

During the activity, they also evaluated the meetings with subregional instances, such as Parlandino, Parlasur and Parlacen, with the purpose of establishing new policies for bilateral cooperation relations.

On the other hand, Deputy Rodríguez considered the idea of generating a Political Action Plan that allows addressing the situations that arise in the region in economic, political, social and ecological matters.

“Let’s keep in mind that qualitative changes are taking place on the continent and the peoples have a new narrative and interpretation of what is happening, it is necessary that this Latin-Caribbean instance look in another direction because it would be unforgivable,” he said.
