Venezuelan Foreign Minister honors Commander Chávez in Moscow

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Carlos Faría, led a commemorative wreath-laying ceremony on Monday before the plaque of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, located in Moscow, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry reported through the official Twitter account.

The Venezuelan diplomat was accompanied by representatives of the Russia-Venezuela Friendship Group, of the state company Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), scholarship holders of the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Foundation and personnel of the Venezuelan Embassy.

This activity was part of the agenda carried out by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister during his visit to the Eurasian country, whose main objective is to maintain negotiations between the two nations, strengthen bilateral cooperation and the international situation.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Faría met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, on which occasion both officials ratified the willingness of Venezuela and Russia to strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership of cooperation.
