During the Plenary of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Carreño, presented a detailed report on the visit of the Venezuelan parliamentary delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, national leader of the Azerbaijani people.
Carreño said that the parliament of that country held a solemn session where the Venezuelan delegation exercised the right to speak, on behalf of its people, to express the solidarity and brotherhood of the Venezuelan Legislative Power. Likewise, the deputy indicated that they attended multiple bilateral meetings.
In this sense, Carreño explained that the first meeting was held with the first vice president of Parliament Milli Majilis and the deputy Ali El Husseini. The central axis of this meeting was to strengthen the ties and ties of friendship between the two legislatures, since Azerbaijan is an oil and gas country that shares the same potential and threats as Venezuela.
He also added that, in a meeting with the first vice president of the Azerbaijani Economy, Politics, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee, they agreed to articulate efforts to deepen the commercial exchange of both peoples.
He reported that the Venezuelan delegation, also made up of Deputy Jesús Faría, shared with young students from the Spanish department of the University of Languages. There they agreed to sign an agreement with a Venezuelan house of studies to teach the chair of the official Azerbaijani language.
