The authorities of the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (Mincyt) of Venezuela visited the Science and Technology Park of Havana (3CE), Cuba, with the aim of exchanging information and knowledge about the innovation ecosystems of both countries.
Through the Instagram account of the Ministry of Science and Technology, it is highlighted that the delegation was led by the Vice Minister for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies of the Mincyt, Raúl Hernández, and was received by the president of the 3CE, Dr. Rafael Luis Torralbas Ezpeleta.
Vice Minister Hernández presented an overview of the science and technology policies developed by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela within the framework of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán.
He especially highlighted the policy that the country leads in terms of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
For her part, the president of the Technological Science Park + Science of Venezuela, Msg. Maddign Medina shared information about the work and incubation projects currently being developed in the country.
The Havana Science and Technology Park (3CE) is an innovation ecosystem that promotes Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) projects and incubates technology-based companies focused on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
Among the companies promoted by this science park are: Picta: Audiovisual content platform; ToDus: Instant and collaborative messaging application;
Apklis: Application center for the Android operating system.
The institutional approach allowed the Venezuelan and Cuban delegations to learn about the most relevant technological initiatives carried out in their respective science parks.
The visit was carried out as part of the 41st Havana International Fair (Fihav 2025), which brings together more than 50 countries and will be held until November 29 at the Expocuba complex.
