Following clashes that have taken place in different cities in Venezuela since Monday calling for a review of the election results in which current President Nicolás Maduro was proclaimed the winner, the Venezuelan armed forces in a statement reported that they remain loyal to the government.
Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said that “we are witnessing a coup d’état planned by far-right fascists supported by imperial factors, American imperialism and its allies, its lackeys.”
