In a formal ceremony held at the Presidential House “Sefako Makgatho”, Ambassador Carlos Feo Acevedo formalized his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of South Africa.

On August 14, the ambassador presented his Credentials to the South African State Protocol Directorate, marking the beginning of a new stage in bilateral relations between Africa and Venezuela. The acting President of South Africa, Paul Shipokosa Mashatile, presided over the ceremony.

Since Venezuela and South Africa established diplomatic relations in 1993, they have signed 18 cooperation agreements in the areas of politics, trade, energy, oil, gas, communications, education, science and technology.

The news was officially announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through the social network Telegram. The appointment of Ambassador Feo Acevedo strengthens the ties between both countries and opens new opportunities for mutual collaboration.
