Venezuela will activate an Appointment Service Office of the Electronic Legalization and Apostille System (SLAE), in Cúcuta, Colombia.
In accordance with a press releasethis office will be installed in the Consulate of Cúcuta starting this Monday, June 26.
In order to request an appointment, you must enter http://legalizacionve.mppre.gob.ve, according to the terminal of your identity card number.
Subsequently, the registration or login must be carried out, as the case may be; upload the documents to be apostilled, select the Consulate General in Cúcuta, make the appointment and go in person to this consular office on the corresponding date.
The Foreign Ministry recalled that this mechanism is already in several embassies in countries such as Brazil, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, United Kingdom and at the Consulates General in Naples and Milan, Italy.
It should be remembered that, with the arrival of Gustavo Petro to power, Venezuela and Colombia are working to restore all the diplomatic processes that have been suspended for the last few years.
Last April, the Venezuelan Consulate in Cúcuta reopened its doors to provide care to Venezuelans and Colombians living in the binational border area.
The diplomatic facilities are already adequate, while specialized personnel are being incorporated for the operations of procedures such as passports, identification cards, visas and apostilles, among others.
