The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro for its firm defense of Venezuelan and regional sovereignty in the face of constant aggression from the United States.
Through his Telegram channel, Gil pointed out that Venezuela values the Iranian commitment to the stability of international trade, which is threatened by the illegal actions of Donald Trump’s administration, now dedicated to pursuing and stealing tankers with national oil.
For its part, Iran called on all countries to speak out against any threat or use of force that contravenes the United Nations Charter.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Esmail Baqai, assured that the actions carried out by the US “are a serious threat to international peace and stability. “Any responsible country must take a stand on this fact.”
Finally, Baqai indicated that US military pressure in the Caribbean seeks to intervene and change the Government of a sovereign country, which contradicts international norms and weakens global security.
