This Friday, President Nicolás Maduro Moros, in the meeting with the International Democratic Federation of Women, pointed out that “Bring the truth of Venezuela, its essence, its sensitivity to the world and count on you, women of the world, with the support of Venezuela, for the fight for the truth and the rights of women”, expressed the dignitary from the Miraflores Palace.
As is known last Monday, the XVII Congress of the International Democratic Federation of Women (FDIM) was installed in Caracas, with the presence of 139 delegates from Venezuela and the world.
Of this total, 45 are women from various sectors of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and 94 from social organizations from 27 nations.
The Congress, which in 2021 was held in Colombia, this year will take place in the Venezuelan capital from this Monday to Saturday, April 30, during which they will debate various issues with the motto “Women of the world united to eliminate inequalities and violence, for the peace and health of the planet.

Lorraine Pena, President of the FDIM, explained that “Venezuela is today one of the few countries in the world that gives confidence and security to women, its visitors and its people”; thus pointing out the work of the State in the defense and rights of women.
In addition, he highlighted the presence of the heads and heads of the Ministries of People’s Power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, among them: Greisy Barrios, Clara Vidal, Gabriela Jiménez, Yelitze Santaella, as well as the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez.
As special guests, there are also deputies and ministers who headed the Ministry of Popular Power for Women, such as Diva Guzmán, the current minister; her predecessor María León, Prime Minister of Commander Hugo Chávez, Caryl Bertho, Blanca Eekhout and Asia Villegas.
On the opening day, African, Asian, Arab and Vietnamese delegates took the floor to denounce the different difficulties that women must face in the savage capitalist system in their respective nations and raised issues to debate on the human rights of women in all spheres of social, economic and political life.
