Venezuela suffers a new blackout in 20 of the 23 states

Citizens of Venezuela They began to report from 2 in the morning of this Friday that there was not electricity in their homes. In social networks it was found that it was a widespread blackout and that there were affectations in 20 out of 23 states from the country.

The blackout was registered in the capital, Caracas, and also in the center and west of the country in places like Zulia, Miranda, Aragua, Apure, Bolívar, Táchira and other regions.

By dawn there was already electricity supply again in most of the states and the government denounced that it was “an attack on the national electricity system.”

The Minister of Electric Energy, Néstor Reverol, stated that it was supposedly in the El Guri reservoir, which contains one of the largest electrical infrastructures in Venezuela and that was also affected in 2019 when there was a blackout for six days.

At that time, the government also pointed out that it was about attacks against the power grid by people who “they lash out at peace from the country”.
