In an atmosphere of deep diplomatic fraternity, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela celebrated the National Day of Qatar, a date of high historical significance that commemorates the unification of said nation in 1878.
The event was headed by the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, who together with the Qatari ambassador in Caracas, Salman Al-Khulaifi, and a large diplomatic delegation, ratified the strength of a bilateral relationship that has become a fundamental pillar of Venezuelan foreign policy in the Middle East.
During the ceremony, Foreign Minister Gil stated that it is a high honor for the Venezuelan State to accompany this anniversary, highlighting the transformation of Qatar into a sovereign and independent State that today is positioned as a global benchmark for economic development and sustained growth.
In this context, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy conveyed a fraternal greeting on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, extending his congratulations to both the Qatari authorities and its people, whose spirit of improvement is widely recognized by the Bolivarian Revolution.
The meeting served to underline the strategic importance of the alliance between Caracas and Doha, reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the Bolivarian Government to care for, deepen and expand bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest. Gil emphasized that the political will of both States remains firm in the construction of a common agenda of shared benefit, aimed at energy stability, commercial exchange and cooperation in multilateral forums.
Likewise, the Venezuelan representation highlighted that Qatar is not only a commercial partner, but a key ally on the international stage, whose trajectory of unification and defense of its sovereignty resonates with the principles of independence and self-determination that Venezuela promotes.
At the close of the event, both governments ratified their intention to continue working hand in hand to face current global challenges, consolidating a friendship that transcends geographical borders and is based on mutual respect and the prosperity of their people.
