The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held telephone conversations with his counterparts from Indonesia and Laos, with whom he addressed the state of the bilateral relations they maintain with Venezuela and reaffirmed their strengthening.
Through his Telegram channel, Gil reported that during the telephone conversation with his Indonesian counterpart, Sugiono, they addressed the current situation in Venezuela. In the exchange, the minister thanked Indonesia for its firm stance in support of the United Nations Charter and the principles of sovereignty and independence of the country.
Both foreign ministers reiterated the importance of the alliance in the commercial, energy and productive fields, agreeing on the need to continue building mutually beneficial cooperation mechanisms.
Venezuela and Lao: Friendship and solidarity
Likewise, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister reported on a “cordial and productive” video call with the Foreign Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Thongsavanh Phomvihane. During the digital meeting, they reaffirmed the deep ties of friendship, respect and cooperation between both nations.
Likewise, they ratified the commitment to maintain permanent contact to strengthen bilateral relations, which are currently characterized by a fraternal and supportive spirit. In this regard, Gil expressed: “Venezuela deeply values its relationship with the brother Lao people and will continue to work together with its Government in favor of peace diplomacy, shared development and the well-being of our nations.”
