Venezuela stands in solidarity with Cuba in the face of energy contingency

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed solidarity this Friday with the Republic of Cuba, in the face of the energy contingency that occurred after the general blackout which was experienced as a consequence of a general failure in the thermoelectric units responsible for supplying energy in the Caribbean nation.

“Cuba faces the current energy contingency, a product of the cruel intensification of the economic war and financial and energy persecution by the Government of the United States,” emerges from a statement posted on the digital networks of Foreign Minister Yván Gil.

In that sense, he recalled that the US Government continues with the application of the illegal blockade against the Cuban people.

“From the country’s leadership we are dedicating absolute priority to the attention and solution of this highly sensitive energy contingency for the nation. There will be no rest until its restoration,” said the president, highlighting the Government’s commitment to the situation.
