In order to consolidate a solid bond between the parliamentarians of both countries, as well as promote communication, dialogue and the exchange of legislative information, the National Assembly installed the Venezuela-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group, this Tuesday from the Federal Legislative Palace .
The president of the group, deputy Roque Valero, explained that another objective of this body is the promotion of cooperation in aspects of common interest, the promotion of sovereignty, national independence and the self-determination of peoples.
He added that the defense of participatory and leading democracy, friendship, solidarity, complementarity, respect for public international law and human rights is also sought with these parliamentary friendship groups.
Valero highlighted that both Venezuela and Serbia must continue working to continue advancing in the construction of a multicentric and pluripolar world that guarantees the survival of the human species.
For her part, the Serbian ambassador to Venezuela, Katarina Andrić, thanked the group for installing it, and in turn expressed her desire to contribute to the development of relations and contact between the two parliaments.
He expressed that there is Serbia’s interest in developing and promoting commitment and struggle in favor of a world of peace, where all countries and peoples are considered equal.
