Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported that on Saturday, December 10, 2022, 115 new covid-19 infections were recorded in Venezuela, of which 66 arrived in the country from abroad and 49 were reported within the national territory. On day 1,000 since the pandemic began in Venezuela, a total of 541,338 cases are reported.
Regarding the “imported” cases, Rodríguez indicated in his social networks that the cases detected at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía and that were dealt with by health personnel assigned to the facilities, arrived in Venezuela on flights from Peru (15), Panama (14), the Dominican Republic (14), Spain ( 10), Bolivia (6), Turkey (4) and Mexico (3).
While the infections registered in the country during the last 24 hours were reported in seven of the 24 entities in Venezuela, with the Capital District leading the list by reporting 18 new patients with covid-19 that were evidenced in 10 of its 22 parishes. : El Valle (4), Cathedral (3), January 23 (2), Sucre (2), La Candelaria (2), Santa Teresa (1), Santa Rosalía (1), Caricuao (1), San Pedro ( 1) and Antimanus (1).
The Capital District was followed by Bolívar (16), Miranda (7), Falcón (3), Vargas (2), Nueva Esparta (2) and Lara (1).

The states of Zulia, Táchira, Mérida, Trujillo, Apure, Barinas, Portuguesa, Yaracuy, Cojedes, Carabobo, Aragua, Amazonas, Guárico, Anzoátegui, Monagas, Delta Amacuro and Sucre did not report new covid-19 infections during the day.
The official statistics published by Rodríguez on his social networks regarding the day of December 10, 2022 increased the total number of covid-19 cases that Venezuela reports daily. In this sense, 1,000 days after the detection of the first infections on March 13, 2020, a total of 548,348 and 541,338 recovered patients are reported, which according to official data represents 99% overcoming the disease.
Currently, there are 1,180 active cases of covid-19 in the country according to the figures released by the authorities, of which 52 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 46 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 24 in private clinics and 1,058 people who are in home isolation or “supervised community care”.
