Miranda was the state with the most cases of covid-19 reported on the day of May 24, 2022 with just eight new patients
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez published in her social media the statistics corresponding to the behavior of covid-19 in Venezuela during Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in which 34 new infections of the disease were detected, three of which come from abroad.
These “imported” cases are from Panama and were registered at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía in the state of Vargas (La Guaira).
On the other hand, the 31 new community cases of covid-19 were reported in 12 of the 24 federal entities in Venezuela where Miranda led the list by counting eight patients in the last 24 hours.
Los Salias is the Mirandino municipality that obtained the most new cases of the disease with two. Then, the jurisdictions of El Hatillo, Guaicaipuro, Cristóbal Rojas, Paz Castillo, Lander and Acevedo reported a single case in each of the municipalities.
The state of Miranda is followed in the national list by Yaracuy (5), Capital District -Caracas- (3), Zulia (3); Apure, Aragua, Carabobo and Monagas with two cases each; while Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Guárico and Lara had a new covid-19 patient in the last 24 hours.

The states of Barinas, Táchira, Mérida, Trujillo, Falcón, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Vargas, Amazonas, Nueva Esparta, Sucre and Delta Amacuro were left out.
Historical cases of covid-19 in Venezuela, which have been reported daily since March 13, 2020, rose to 523,411. Similarly, 800 days after the pandemic was detected in the country, some 516,588 people have overcome the disease, which represents, according to official data, a recovery rate of 99%.
There are currently 1,106 active cases of the virus in the country, of which 133 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 92 in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI); 50 in private clinics and 831 people who are in home isolation or in “supervised community care”.
Delcy Rodríguez reported that a 37-year-old man in Anzoátegui died as a result of covid-19 during the day of May 24, 2022, so the total number of deaths from this disease rose to 5,717.
