Venezuela registered 390 cases of coronavirus, 383 due to community transmission and 7 imported, reported the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.
In his Twitter account, he explained that the community cases are located in the following states: Miranda 137; Caracas 109; Zulia 47; Yaracuy 31; Cojedes 24, among others.
Miranda presents the highest number of infections in 12 of its 21 municipalities: Guaicaipuro 46; The Salias 36; Urdaneta 17; Cristobal Rojas 14; Sucre 8, among others.
The official said that of the 7 imported cases, 2 come from Panama, 2 from Türkiye and 1 from Cuba, 1 from Spain, 1 from the Dominican Republic. All with entrance through La Guaira.
“We reached a total of 529,384 confirmed cases, 2,890 active cases and 520,749 recovered people, which represents 98% of infections,” he explained.
According to the data, to date the country has 1,811 patients who are asymptomatic, 885 with mild acute respiratory failure, 146 with moderate acute respiratory failure and 48 in the Intensive Care Unit.
Similarly, Ñáñez reported the death of 2 people in Zulia state, 1 96-year-old woman and 1 67-year-old man, to reach 5,745 in the national territory. “Condolences to his family and relatives,” she concluded.
