Venezuela reported 196 infections of covid-19

Venezuela registered 196 cases of covid-19, 194 by community transmission and 2 imported, indicated the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.

In his Twitter account, he said that the community cases are located in the following states: Caracas 92; Miranda 57; Falcon 18; Aragua 8; Yaracuy 8, among others.

Caracas presents the highest number of infections in 16 of its 22 parishes: Sucre 21; Altagracia 9; The Valley 9; January 23 8; Saint John 7, among others.

The official also detailed that of the 2 imported cases, 1 comes from Panama and 1 from Türkiye. Both with entrance through La Guaira.

“We reached a total of 538,631 confirmed cases, 4,650 active cases and 528,213 recovered people, which represents 98% of infections,” Ñáñez emphasized.

According to the information, to date we have 2,912 patients who are asymptomatic, 1,422 with mild acute respiratory failure, 239 with moderate acute respiratory failure and 77 in the Intensive Care Unit.

“Today we do not report deaths in our country, we maintain the figure of 5,768 in the national territory,” he concluded.
