Venezuela reported 164 coronavirus infections

Delcy Rodriguez, government vice president of Nicolás Maduro, reported that Venezuela recorded 164 coronavirus infections.

He detailed in the balance offered by Twitter that 163 cases were registered in the country due to community transmission and 1 imported.

According to the data, Zulia is the entity where the largest number of community cases (75) was detected, with active infections in 6 municipalities; it is followed by the states: Yaracuy (26), Bolívar (19) and Miranda (16).

After the new data, these are the general statistics of the pandemic in Venezuela:

– Total infections: 525,340

patients recovered: 517,998 (99%)

– Current active cases: 1,617

– Total deaths: 5,725

“In a meeting with the PAHO/WHO representative in Venezuela, Dr. Cristian Morales Fuhrimann, we reviewed the cooperation of this organization in matters of health, support in the control of covid-19; in addition to the epidemiological advances in our country for the protection of the people », he concluded.
