A report by the technology company Índice Global Speedtest confirmed the poor service of Internet connectivity in Venezuela.
In the 2023 report, Venezuela ranks 136 out of 138 countries in the category with the worst mobile band. This is an update of the ranking of countries whose Internet service has not improved over the years, despite existing technological advances.
In the measurement, in addition to Latin America, all the countries of the planet are included.
Besides, Global Speedtest Index it also disclosed the results of its investigations in the field of fixed band. In this section, Venezuela came to occupy position 138, out of 179 countries.
According to the results of the measurement, Cuba, Haiti and Afghanistan are some of the countries with the worst internet connection than Venezuela.
According to the Global Speedtest Index in Venezuela, the Internet service is located, in the case of mobile telephony, at 5.58 megabytes per second; and in the case of fixed telephony or fixed band it hardly exceeds 6.5 megabytes per second.
The poor Internet service in Venezuela is compared to that of those countries that are going through a period of warfare or that have just overcome a war, according to the report.
