The Venezuelan Parliamentary Group rejoined the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament, Parlatino, after overcoming obstacles resulting from the US blockade and the boycott by the international right that recognized the so-called interim government.
This was reported by deputy Ángel Rodríguez, who explained that the situation has already been overcome thanks to intense work that involved long meetings with the Board of Directors of Parlatino in Panama, according to a press release.
“We can proudly say that Parlatino-Venezuela resumes its dynamism and full presence in the thirteen commissions that make up the regional parliamentary body,” Rodríguez said.

The National Assembly revalidated in his positions the deputy Ángel Rodríguez as president of the Venezuelan Parliamentary Group before the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (GPV-PLC) and the parliamentarian Iris Varela as vice presidency.
“We opened the first session of the year 2023 and ratified the authorities of the Parlatino chapter #Venezuelain order to prepare ourselves for all that will be the concrete proposals that we will raise in the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament,” Rodríguez explained on his Twitter account.
In this sense, he specified that Venezuela presides, at the Latin American and Caribbean level, the Public Services, User and Consumer Defense Commission, in addition to the vice-presidencies of the Labor Affairs and Social Welfare Commission; and the Commission for Political, Municipal and Integration Affairs.
For his part, Deputy Timoteo Zambrano explained that the continental and European strategy of isolating Venezuela did not prosper due to the political changes that occurred in several countries, such as the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Panama and now with the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. , in Brazil.
