Sanctions deprive Venezuelans of human rights
In mid-April, during the Social Dialogue Forum in which representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO), business associations and the country’s organized working class participated, in a meeting in Caracas, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez , gave a brief recount of the impact of the sanctions.
He recalled that independent rapporteurs of the United Nations and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, have rejected the blockade against Venezuela for the more than 502 Unilateral Coercive Measures imposed by the US.
“It is a blockade that deprived the Venezuelan people of access to food, access to health and access to housing, access to the entire wide range of missions and large social missions that Commander Hugo Chávez had installed,” Rodríguez stressed. .
