The Minister of Communication and Information of the Nicolás Maduro regime, Freddy Ñáñez, issued this Wednesday the usual daily report on the cases of covid-19 in the country during the last 24 hours.

In the balance, the Chavista official pointed out that for this April 13, 2022, 96 new cases of coronavirus were detected to raise the number of infections to 521,714 since the start of the pandemic last March 2020.

In the count, the government representative pointed out that 94 of the reported cases correspond to community infections, with the most affected states being Mérida (29), Miranda (13), Monagas (12) and Falcón (12).

“Yaracuy with nine; Zulia with seven; Barinas and Bolívar with three cases; Cojedes and Sucre with two; Táchira and the Capital District with only one case respectively, ”said the minister in his account on the social network. Twitter.

Regarding the cases of covid-19 registered in Mérida, Ñáñez indicated that six of its 23 municipalities were affected by the virus, with Campo Elías (9), Rangel (8) and Libertador (7) being the hardest hit by the spread of the disease. ).

He indicated that two cases “from Panama” were detected at the Comprehensive Social Care Post of the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Vargas state.

In the same way, he regretted the death of a person due to the disease, with which 5,698 have been counted since the start of the pandemic in the country, while detailing that the deaths are “a 70-year-old man from the Carabobo state”.

Ñáñez said that, of the 521,714 confirmed cases, 514,413 people have recovered, which represents 99% of the infections. “We have 1,603 active cases, 1,052 are being treated in the public health system, 188 in private clinics and 363 in supervised community care.”

“To date we have 351 patients who are asymptomatic, 773 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 366 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 113 in the Intensive Care Unit,” he said in another message.
