A group of 309 Venezuelan citizens returned to the country this Friday aboard a repatriation flight coming from Arizona, United States, reported the Ministry of the Interior together with the state program Great Mission Vuelta a la Patria.
According to information disseminated on social networks, among the passengers were 266 men, 37 women and six children. Upon arrival, the returnees were received by citizen security organizations, which applied the “corresponding security protocols” established by the authorities.
The flight was operated by the American airline Eastern Airlines and arrived at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía. Images of the landing were shared by the Ministry of the Interior through its official channels.
With this operation, there are already 105 repatriation flights carried out since the signing of the migration agreement between Caracas and Washington at the beginning of last year, a mechanism that has remained in force despite the bilateral tensions derived from the US military deployment in the Caribbean Sea.
This return occurs just two days after another similar flight, also from Arizona, in which 273 Venezuelans returned, according to the ministry itself last Wednesday.
Official figures, EFE recalled, indicate that during 2025 more than 14,000 Venezuelans returned from the United States, although the government has not updated that balance so far this year.
