Venezuela receives 194 deported migrants from the United States: six are boys and girls

According to official figures, more than 10,000 migrants have returned to the country on flights since the beginning of the year, when Caracas and Washington, without diplomatic relations since 2019, signed a deportation agreement

An aircraft with 194 deported by the United States landed this Friday 8 at the Maiquetía International Airport, including six children that the administration of Nicolás Maduro considered “kidnapped” in that country, the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace reported.

Through its Instagram account, the Ministry indicated that they were “rescued” Milan Emmanuel Mora Hurtado, Dorielvis Ayari Silva García, Yineimer José Buendía Contreras, Diego Jesús Torrealba Contreras, Ashley Hernández Peña and Mariangela Susej Susej Lobatón Almao.

Gretimimar Lobatón, Mariangela’s mother, thanked the support of the authorities to return the return of her daughter. “I started receiving calls to help me, I thank everyone who put a grain of sand so that my girl will return, I am happy is emotion has no explanation.”

According to one Press noteLobatón commented that “every day I was very worried, but I hope that I would later have my daughter at home.”

Until the end of July, according to Venezuelan officials, the United States maintained “kidnapped” to 33 Venezuelan children in their territory and accused the interim business manager of the US External Office for Venezuela in Colombia, John Mcnamara, of being the “direct responsible for maintaining this illegal situation.”

With the six minors who returned this Friday, a total of 21 children denounced as “kidnapped” have returned to Venezuela between May and August of this year in repatriation flights.

According to official figures, more than 10,000 migrants have returned to the country on flights since the beginning of the year, when Caracas and Washington, without diplomatic relations since 2019, signed a deportation agreement.

Earlier, the US Western Ministry Office said that, unlike Maduro’s “illegitimate regime”, “does not use children as a currency, and we will not rush to transfer unaccompanied minors before exhaustively evaluating what is best for them.”
