A plane with 110 migrants repatriated from the United States arrived in Venezuela this Monday from the city of Miami, as part of the Great Mission Return to the Homeland, the state program that manages returns to the South American country, and the immigration agreement signed last year with Washington.
The Ministry of the Interior and Justice reported on its Instagram account that 92 men and 15 women arrived, as well as a teenager and two children.
“They were received by citizen security bodies and the different institutions to apply the corresponding care protocols,” indicated the State portfolio.
The plane was operated by the American airline Global Crossing, and landed at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, which serves Caracas.
According to the institution, This is repatriation flight 112 since Caracas and Washington They signed a migration agreement at the end of January last year, which was maintained even amid tensions over the US military deployment in the Caribbean Sea.
“These actions are part of the Bolivarian government’s commitment to guarantee the return of those Venezuelans who face adverse conditions abroad,” added the ministry.
On February 13, 109 migrants returned to the country from the United States, on a plane that left Miami.
