«#24Oct| The Charter of the United Nations entered into force on a day like today in 1945, thus giving birth to the UN as a democratic instrument for peace and world harmony. Venezuela reaffirms the spirit of that Founding Charter and fully applies it with Bolivarian Diplomacy,” Faría posted on Twitter.
The words of the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Carlos Faría, are part of the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the role of the UN.
With the adoption of the Charter of the United Nations on October 24, 1945, by the majority of the 51 Member States signatory to the document, the organization was established, reports AVN.
Currently, there are 193 States that make up the United Nations, represented in the deliberative body that is the General Assembly.
