Venezuela ratifies its fight against drug trafficking

With the policies implemented by the National Government in terms of security, the Venezuelan state has been strengthened in its fight against drug trafficking, highlighted the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos.

“The Venezuelan State is strengthened in the fight against drug trafficking, thanks to the policies implemented by the Bolivarian Government,” Ceballos said through his account on the social network Twitter.

In this sense, the Minister for the Interior, Justice and Peace highlighted the different security policies implemented by the Venezuelan State, among them: the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission.

On June 23, Ceballos indicated that progress is being made in strengthening the Peace Quadrants as a national citizen security policy.

He stressed that this national Citizen Security policy “is built together with the people, overcoming vulnerabilities, risks and threats, guaranteeing the full enjoyment of the rights of all for life and peace,” he added.

In order to continue expanding the capacity of the State in the integral protection of citizens, at the beginning of this month, the members of the Permanent Commission of Interior Policy of the National Assembly (AN) debated together with Minister Ceballos the Law of Quadrants of Peace.

World day against drug use

It should be noted that on Sunday, the World Day for the Fight against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was celebrated, which is why the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that Venezuela is firm in its work to end drug trafficking.

“In Venezuela we stand firm to end drug trafficking in our territory, this #26Jun, World Day for the Fight against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, we ratify the commitment to guarantee a safe, prosperous and drug-free Homeland” , said the national president through Twitter.

The United Nations (UN) commemorates the International Day Against Illicit Drug Trafficking and Abuse every June 26, to strengthen action and cooperation for a drug-free society.
