Venezuela ratifies "historic" relationship with Cuba without mentioning Trump's warning

In a brief statement, Foreign Minister Yván Gil points out that relations with Cuba are based on the Charter of the United Nations, international law, the free exercise of self-determination and national sovereignty.


Following the warning made by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, about the end of the delivery of Venezuelan oil and money to Cuba, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry ratified its historical relations with the island, but without making direct reference to the message published by the Republican.

In a brief statement published by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, on the social network

“The relationship between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with the Caribbean and the Republic of Cuba has historically been founded on brotherhood, solidarity, cooperation and complementarity.”

This Sunday the 11th, the president of the United States reported that Venezuela will stop supplying oil to Cuba and recommended that the national Executive reach an agreement with the island “before it is too late.”

“…THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY FOR CUBA, ZERO! I strongly recommend that you reach an agreement BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE,” Trump wrote.
