The General Directorate of Crime Prevention (DPD), an entity attached to the Vice Ministry of Prevention, Citizen Security and Quadrants of Peace (VIPRESEG) directed by the G/D Endes Palenciais responsible for the design and execution of policies, plans, programs and projects oriented to the Prevention of violence and crimethrough the exercise of co -responsibility between State institutions and communities for the strengthening of citizen coexistence.
The mission of this direction is to evaluate and execute the public public security policy of the State, with the purpose of strengthening social participation, government structures and the people as a whole, having as its fundamental premise the Comprehensive and transverse prevention to the whole society.
In addition, it comprehensively and directly addresses all manifestations of violence that have multifactorial roots and behavior patterns rooted in young people, for prevent them from falling into alcohol, drugs and improper weapons use; In addition to the influence of war games and viral challenges. It promotes values and promotes safe environments for Venezuelan youth.
It is worth mentioning that, the Preventive Frontcomposed of more than 20 institutions and entities attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), which includes Civil Protection (PC) and the Communal Police, integrates this important initiative. Similarly, the Venezuelan Federation of Students (FEVEEM) participates in strengthening values as an essential tool for prevention and Eradication of violence.
