Culture: key to a sustainable world
In a world that is so changing and that is going through various global issues, culture becomes sidelined and governments invest little in its development, which is why the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions seeks to contribute to the creation of a greater understanding of the role of culture in sustainable development.
In this regard, reports prepared by Unesco propose effective actions to use the culture for sustainable development. Among them we can highlight: the increase in the financing of the cultural and creative sector; investing in creativity for sustainable development; and create stronger alliances between governments, civil society, the private sector and artists for the design, application and exchange of good practices so that culture and creativity are part of the solution for a better future, said a UNESCO note.
