Venezuela officially announced that Brazil will be the country that will assume the diplomatic representation of Peru and Argentina in the territory
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday morning, August 5, in which it confirmed that Brazil will be the diplomatic representative of Argentina and Peru following the breaking of diplomatic relations between Caracas and Buenos Aires and Lima.
In the text, released in the social network X The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, indicated that the governments of Venezuela and Brazil reached an agreement that Brasilia will be the custodian of the premises of the diplomatic missions of Argentina and Peru, including their assets and archives, as well as the representation of their interests and those of the citizens living in Venezuelan territory.
This measure, he said, will take effect starting this Monday.

The Embassy of Brazil He assumed the diplomatic representation of Argentina after the rupture of relations between Caracas and Buenos Aires announced by the ruler Nicolás Maduro, following the criticism of the Government of Javier Milei to the electoral process in Venezuela held on July 28.
