Through a release The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences and solidarity to the people and Government of the Republic of Belarus for the death of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, Vladimir Makéi, which occurred this Saturday.
Makei, whose last known duty was to travel to the Armenian capital Yerevan, has introduced Belarusian diplomacy for the past ten years, specifically since August 2012.
After the news was released, the Venezuelan Minister for Foreign Relations, Carlos Faría, expressed his regret on behalf of the Venezuelan people.

The Foreign Ministry of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on behalf of the people and their government, expresses its deepest condolences and solidarity to the People and Government of the Republic of Belarus, for the sensitive death of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makéi, this Saturday, November 26 .
Foreign Minister Makéi dedicated enormous efforts to sow close relations of cooperation and brotherhood with Venezuela and, committed to defending the values enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, managed to carry out excellent coordination with our country on multilateral issues.
Venezuela conveys his regret at the sudden physical departure of this great diplomatic representative, extended to his family, friends and the noble Belarusian people, for whom he wishes comfort and strength in these moments of pain.
