Rodriguez said that the country’s highest court will begin the “process of appraisal of the consigned material” within a period of up to 15 days, which may be extended.

As part of the review process, the TSJ has summoned presidential candidates and representatives of political parties to present all the “electoral instruments” in their possession and respond to an interrogation. Among those summoned are the president Nicolas Maduro and the candidate of the main opposition coalition, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia.

Also summoned were José Luis Cartaya, representative of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD); Simón Calzadilla, general secretary of the Movement for Venezuela (MPV); Manuel Rosales, governor of Zulia state; and the candidate Enrique Márquez.

According to the Chavista regime, Maduro obtained 51.95% of the votes in the elections on Sunday, July 28, while Edmundo García only obtained 43.18%.

The opposition, which has managed to gather 81% of the voting records, currently public in a Web page for review by citizens and independent bodies, states that García far surpassed Maduro by almost 40% of the votes. This result has been recognized by countries such as Argentina, the United States and Peru, among others.

According to EFE, the TSJ also asked the CNE for “all the elements” that prove “the reported cyber attack against the computer system” of the institution, which according to the ruling represented an “impediment to the timely transmission of the election results.”

This Monday, Edmundo González Urrutia and opposition leader María Corina Machado asked the National Armed Forces and the Venezuelan Police to respect the popular will expressed in the elections of July 28 and refrain from repressing the people.

With the minutes in handthe planet has seen and recognized the triumph of democratic forces.”
