Venezuela laments the physical departure of the Vice Prime Minister of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas and sends words of condolences to the people of Cuba, friends, family and comrades before such irreparable loss, as President Nicolás Maduro Moros, in his Telegram account, reviewed it.
The Head of State wrote: «From Venezuela hug the brother and noble Cuban people for the unfortunate physical departure of my friend, Ricardo Cabrisas. A friendship of many years. Undoubtedly a great companion at work for the union of the peoples, a revolutionary, fighter and extraordinary human being. To your family, friends and comrades my condolences. Until victory always Ricardo!
Also the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, adds to the message of regret by expressing that “until the last minute he maintained the composure of a true revolutionary, of an absolute detachment by the Cuban people and infinite loyalty to the revolution.”
He stressed that Cabrisas “was a school on the different historical moments of resistance and victories of a besieged people. He knew how to cultivate and twist the Cuban and Bolivarian revolution as one, an example for Latin American peoples.”
In the name of the people of Venezuela, he referred to one of Martí’s phrases, which says that “death is not true when the work of life has been fully fulfilled!”, And then manifest: “Fly high dear cabrisas!”
Since 2019, Ricardo Cabrisas held the position of Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba. He was Vice Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade from 1980 to 2000. He also served in the commercial area and as a diplomat in various regions of the world.
