Venezuela is positioned as a strategic tourist destination at the UN meeting

Within the framework of the 26th General Assembly of UN Tourism, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, continues to develop an intense work agenda that consolidates the international projection of Venezuela as a multidiverse and strategic tourist destination.

During the second day of the event, Gómez held a bilateral meeting with his Cuban counterpart, Juan Carlos García Granda, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Cuba. In an atmosphere of cordiality and cooperation, both ministers addressed the strengthening of commercial alliances aimed at promoting the exchange of experiences, the development of joint tourism products and the promotion of incoming tourism that benefits both nations.

The active participation of Venezuela and Cuba in this international forum underlines the commitment of both nations to position themselves in the global arena through their natural, cultural and heritage riches. The ministers agreed that this type of meeting strengthens bilateral relations between the governments of Nicolás Maduro and Miguel Díaz-Canel, and allows progress in shared strategies of sustainable development and economic integration.

In addition, the importance of betting on innovative, inclusive and environmentally friendly tourism models was highlighted, in line with the principles promoted by UN Tourism.

Venezuela raises its voice on the international tourism scene

Minister Gómez continues to be deployed in Riyadh, actively participating in the work sessions with ministerial representatives from around the world. Their presence reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to keep Venezuela on the international tourist radar, thanks to the integration, cooperation and promotion policies promoted by the National Executive.

This meeting represents a key opportunity to make visible the country’s tourism potential, strengthen ties with other nations and consolidate Venezuela as a relevant actor in the construction of a fairer, sustainable and diverse global tourism.
