Venezuela informs Caricom countries of electoral preparations for June 28

The Vice Minister for the Caribbean, Raúl LiCausi, met with the Heads of the Diplomatic Mission of the countries of the Caribbean Community (Caricom)

Deputy Minister for the Caribbean, Raúl LiCausi, met on Thursday with the Heads of Diplomatic Mission of the countries of the Caribbean Community (Caricom).

This was announced in the evening by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, through its account on the social network X, in which it stated that “Vice Minister for the Caribbean @rlicausi held a meeting with the Heads of Diplomatic Mission of the CARICOM countries in Venezuela to report on the progress of preparations for the presidential elections on July 28, 2024.”

At the meeting, the ambassadors of the Caricom countries accredited in Venezuela were informed about the electoral process that will be held on July 28 in the country.

Venezuela maintains various cooperation policies with Caribbean nations, under the line of Peace Diplomacy, inclusive multilateralism, solidarity and the vision of building a multi-centered and multipolar world.

Caricom is an integration mechanism that was created on July 4, 1973, with the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas, in order to consolidate the unity of its 15 member States and 5 associate members.
