“In Venezuela the territorial organization is reinforced, and in that process the body is brewing in more powerful weapons that has been seen in America and the Caribbean,” said the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
During the commemorative act for the 20 years of the Bolivarian National Armed Force Operational Force (CEOFANB), the head of state reported that he has ordered the creation of 335 areas of integral defense, articulated with the communes and the FANB, to guarantee the protection of the territory and the right to sovereign development. “This scheme is structured in eight comprehensive defense regions and 25 operational areas, as part of a national movement with response capacity to any foreign threat.”
He also explained that the military strategic concept is based on two pillars: “Civic, military and police merger; and the active and prolonged popular presence in the territory. This model strengthens the integral defense and consolidates citizen participation as an essential component of national security.”
In that sense, he recalled that the Constitution establishes the obligation of every natural person, without distinction of institutional belonging, to defend the country before any foreign aggression. “Faced with a small, medium, large, local, regional or national threat, it is the duty of any citizen, invested or not of authority, protect the nation,” he said.
He indicated that he has received letters from South American military who ratify his support for Venezuela. “If they touch Venezuela, they touch us all. It will be time to refound the United Army,” he said, highlighting the regional commitment to sovereignty and peace.
In this regard, he points out that this doctrine was evidenced in the recent days of mobilization, where the deployment of the town to the barracks and vice versa was observed. “The legacy of Commander Chávez remains alive in each commune, communal and corner circuit of the national territory,” he said.
In addition, he added that the plan of the seven transformations (7T) raises clear lines of action to advance the battle fronts defined by the Executive, depending on the needs of the historical moment. “This instrument guides integral development and national resistance.”
