Venezuela expresses solidarity with Vietnam over tragedy caused by Super Typhoon Yagi

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Constitutional President, Nicolás Maduro, express their solidarity with the people of Vietnam in the face of the devastating tragedy caused by Super Typhoon Yagi, which with winds exceeding 230 km/hr left 14 people dead and nearly 200 injured.

The information was published by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, on his Telegram social network account, where he also sent “our most sincere condolences to the families of the victims.”

He also stressed that the situation will continue to be closely monitored, “ready to offer the necessary assistance.”

Authorities estimate that the super typhoon left more than 3,000 homes damaged and more than 120,000 hectares of rice fields flooded, while several areas of the country were left without electricity.
