The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his Instagram account, expressed “From Venezuela we convey to the people and government of South Korea our solidarity, after the plane accident that occurred in the city of Muan in this country and that has claimed lives. of more than 170 people. We raise our prayers for the eternal rest of the victims and convey our condolences to their families and friends.”
On Saturday, a low-cost airline Jeju Air flight with 181 people on board crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea.
Initial reports indicate that the aircraft skidded off the runway and crashed into a fence at an airport in the southwestern city of Muan. It was confirmed death of 179 of the 181 people on board the plane.
Muan firefighters reported that the plane was completely destroyed; only the tail was recognizable.
