The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, expressed his deep solidarity with the families of the eight members of the Colombian Air Force who lost their lives in a tragic accident.
The information was announced by the Chancellor through a message published on his Telegram channel where he extended, on behalf of the Venezuelan people, the most sincere condolences to his loved ones, his colleagues and all the Colombian people.
“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela expresses its deep solidarity with the families of the eight members of the Colombian Air Force who lost their lives in a tragic accident. We extend our most sincere condolences to his loved ones, his colleagues and all the Colombian people at this difficult time,” he posted.
The Colombian Air Force reported, through a statement, the death of eight crew members of the Huey II FAC-4441 helicopter after an accident in the department of Vichada, reported Telesur.

The entity reported that, after carrying out an exhaustive search mission, the FAC-4441 helicopter, which crashed in the Garabato village, municipality of Cumaribo, Vichada, was found using electro-optical systems of our aircraft, with no survivors on board the aircraft.
