After the plane crash that was recorded in the Republic of Ghana, where the Ministers of Defense and Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation died, as well as other senior officials, President Nicolás Maduro expressed, in the name of his government and the Venezuelan people, his most felt words of regreting the authorities of this country of Western Africa before this tragic event reported this Wednesday, August 6.
Through his official Telegram account, Foreign Minister Yván Gil disclosed the message of the Head of State: “We extend our felt condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the Government and the noble Ghanaian people, and especially to the relatives of all the victims of this unfortunate fact.”
For this unfortunate accident, “Venezuela embraces Ghana in this moment of pain, with the certainty that the ties of solidarity and brotherhood among our peoples will know how to accompany this difficult trance,” he concluded.
The helicopter rushed shortly after taking off action
The latest information reveals that the Chinese military helicopter Z-9 with the officials on board, rushed shortly after taking off from Accra, capital of Ghana, exactly at 09:12 GMT, in the district of Adansi Akrofuom.
Among the fatal victims are Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah; the head of environment, science, technology and innovation, Ibrahim Metala Mohammed; the attached national security coordinator, Muniru Mohammed; the former member of Parliament Samuel Aboagye; and the vice president of the ruler National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Sarpong.
