Venezuela ratified its commitment to the fight against Organized Crime and the Financing of Terrorism, at the 11th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, held in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
According to the information provided by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministrythe national delegation was represented by Rear Admiral Joel Mena Soretthead of the National Office Against Organized crime and Financing of Terrorism (ONCDOFT).
In his presentation, he explained that since 2019 Venezuela has had the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission, as the main State policy in the comprehensive protection of all Venezuelans.
Likewise, she highlighted the recent reform of the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Life Free of Violence, in which the crimes of trafficking and women’s trafficgirls and adolescents.
This international meeting against organized crime, which takes place from October 17 to 21, in Vienna, has the objectives of preventing organized crime, prosecuting organized criminal groups, protecting the most vulnerable and promoting global cooperation.
