The strategic operational commander of the National Armed Force of VenezuelaThe general Sunday Hernandezreported that the reinforced infantry battalion was deployed in Apure state “Tavacare”.
This is a large movement of troops towards the border with Colombia and according to that high military command they are reconnaissance and movement maneuvers. The armed forces accompanied the announcement with videos and photos of weapons, tanks and all kinds of military elements.
According to witnesses in the area, they are carrying out military exercises and work to recover the territory that criminal gangs now have.
The maneuvers coincide with the election date in Colombia and the need that Colombians have in Venezuela to move to the border to be able to vote since there are no consulates in that nation.
The military expert assured that it is one of the largest deployments in three decades, even “superior to that of the diplomatic crisis between Colombia and Ecuador and Venezuela in 2008″.
