The Permanent Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations denounced to the Security Council the armed aggression perpetrated by the United States against Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira.
The document, signed by Ambassador Samuel Moncada, states that the attacks were “brutal, unjustified and unilateral,” carried out with bombings and operations by special troops.
Venezuela accuses Washington of violating Article 2 of the UN Charter, which prohibits the use of force against the territorial integrity and political independence of States.
The Venezuelan Government asked the Security Council to call an emergency meeting and hold the US responsible for the crimes of aggression committed.
