The president of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics of Venezuela (INAC), Juan Texeira Diazin his speech at the 41st Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) denounced the negative impact of the imposition of unilateral coercive measures against the nation that affect this sector.
From the city of Montreal, Canada, the highest authority of INAC said that now that Venezuela enters the permanent council of the International Civil Aviation Organization during this period, unilateral coercive measures that impact civil aviation will always be denounced.
“Make the motto No Country is left behind – initiative No Country Left Behind – that is used so much at ICAO, a reality for everyone and not just for one group,” Texeira stressed.
During his speech, he raised contributions for a civil aviation projected towards the future, safe, inclusive, in which the principles of the Chicago Convention are respected and the instance is not used for purposes contrary to this.
Through the social network Twitter @rvaraguayan, the Minister of People’s Power for Transportation, Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, reported on Venezuela’s participation in the event.
ICAO is an agency of the United Nations Organization created in 1944 by the Convention on International Civil Aviation to study the problems of international civil aviation and promote unique regulations and standards in world aeronautics.
During the sessions of the Assembly, the complete work program of the aforementioned organization in the technical, economic, legal and technical cooperation fields is reviewed in detail.
