Venezuela deepens Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy together with Russia and Bolivia

This Sunday, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, offered an assessment of the activity carried out by the national Government within the framework of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy.

Gil highlighted through a post published on his Twitter account that “this week we deepen the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy together with Russia and Bolivia, sharing visions and agreements in favor of our peoples. In addition, we celebrate the visit of 11 nations that, through the V Sports Games of Alba, will set an example to the world of integration”.

Gil reported that since the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez in 1999 to date between Venezuela and the Russian Federation there are 288 cooperation agreements. “We have developed an intense cooperation that only covers bilateral spheres but also in the multilateral sphere.”

“We are members of the group of friends in defense of the United Nations Charter (…) We condemn the use of unilateral coercive measures, we defend multilateralism and we defend the will of the people to decide their own destiny,” Gi said.

Likewise, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy recalled the meeting between the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

On the other hand, the Minister for Foreign Relations highlighted the meeting between authorities of the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. There, within the framework of the III Binational Mixed Commission, all the agreements which were later signed by presidents Nicolás Maduro and Luis Arce.

“13 very important cooperation agreements from the aeronautical, oil, gas, judicial, cultural areas, a true comprehensive cooperation and a true example of union of the Latin American peoples that we are consolidating,” he said.

Finally, Foreign Minister Yván Gil referred to the inauguration of the V Games of ALBA 2023 where more than 3,500 athletes participate “a sample of the Latin American union 10 ALBA countries and a special guest from Russia”.
