Venezuela congratulates Ecuadorians for rejecting Daniel Noboa's policies

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, on behalf of “the land of Simón Bolívar”, sent a deep hug and congratulated the people of Ecuador for the results of the referendum, where the majority of the citizens of that country said NO to the “surrender policies” of the “corrupt and linked to drug trafficking” government of Daniel Noboa.

Through his Telegram account, Gil described as a great political and historical victory, the majority decision of Ecuadorians, who gave “a demonstration of greatness, assuming the path towards the reconquest of popular victories and a new stage of struggle against those who have wanted to destroy it with corruption, violence and submission.”

The Venezuelan foreign minister also highlighted the historical connection between both peoples and their revolutionary leaders Manuelita Sáenz and General Eloy Alfaro.

It is worth noting that the election day, which brought together more than 13.9 million Ecuadorians, passed peacefully. According to data from the National Electoral Council (CNE), with more than 58% of the minutes scrutinized, the “No” exceeds 52% of the votes.

This rejection focuses on the proposals to allow the installation of foreign military bases, eliminate state financing to political parties, reduce the number of assembly members and convene a Constituent Assembly.
