Venezuela congratulates Cuba for its achievement in the UN General Assembly

Venezuela calls on the US to take care of its own problems

Venezuela congratulates the Republic of Cuba for the result of the vote held today, within the General Assembly of the United Nations, on the Resolution that demands the end of the financial, economic and commercial blockade imposed on Cuba by the government of the United States of America, which resulted in the overwhelming majority of one hundred and eighty-seven votes in favor, two against and one abstention.

This is stated in a statement published on the Telegram account of Foreign Minister Yván Gil.

The statement states that Venezuela “categorically condemns the humanitarian consequences that result from this illegal and extraterritorial policy of sanctions that, year after year, has done nothing but harm the noble Cuban people.”

The statement warns that by preventing Cuba from maintaining economic and commercial relations with any nation, it is punished “for firmly defending its sovereignty and right to build its own future.”

The statement also demands that Cuba be removed from the list of countries that finance terrorism.

VENEZUELA JOINS THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THE UN TO REQUEST THE LIFT OF THE BLOCKADE ON CUBA

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela congratulates the Republic of Cuba for the result of the vote held today, within the General Assembly of the United Nations, on the Resolution that demands the end of the financial, economic blockade and trade imposed on Cuba by the government of the United States of America, which resulted in the overwhelming majority of one hundred and eighty-seven votes in favor, two against and one abstention, ratifying, once again, the support of the entire International Community for the lifting of this criminal and genocidal policy that has done so much damage to the Cuban people for more than six decades.

The Venezuelan Government, inspired by the Bolivarian ideal and the spirit of the United Nations Charter, categorically condemns the humanitarian consequences that result from this illegal and extraterritorial policy of sanctions that, year after year, has done nothing but harm to the noble Cuban people, by violating all norms of International Law and causing irreparable damage to the Cuban economy and, therefore, to the development and social well-being of its people, by preventing any State from maintaining commercial, financial or economic relations with this free country , sovereign and independent, which is punished for firmly defending its sovereignty and right to build its own future.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, attached to the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, demands that the White House government put an end to the failed and obsolete economic embargo, as well as the elimination of the unjust and immoral inclusion of Cuba within the countries that finance terrorism. , illegal measures that, far from leading him to achieve his political goals and imperial domination over our continent, have done nothing more than violate the human rights of more than 11 million Cubans who resist with dignity every day.

The Venezuelan Government and People will always be willing to extend their hand of solidarity to the brother Cuban People in this historic fight for the dignity, sovereignty, justice and equality that all the peoples of the earth deserve.

WE WILL WIN!
