Venezuela congratulates António José Seguro for his electoral victory in Portugal

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela greeted the triumph of António José Seguro in the presidential elections of Portugal.

Through an official statement, Foreign Minister Yván Gil extended his congratulations to the elected president after obtaining a resounding victory on election day this Sunday.

Strengthening the bilateral agenda

The message from the national government highlighted the importance of continuing to travel paths of cooperation and friendship between both nations.

Gil stressed the intention to build a joint work agenda that benefits both peoples and strengthens institutional ties during the new presidential period.

The Foreign Ministry sent a special greeting to the large Portuguese community residing in Venezuela.

The national government recognized the fundamental role of these citizens in the bilateral relationship and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining fluid communication that favors mutual development and the historical integration that unites Caracas and Lisbon.
